Welcome to SCM Computer Training. We are based in Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria. SCM have been teaching adults in the ICT (Information & Communications Technology ) sector for over 9 years.
Computer Training in Cumbria
Unlike many other training providers, SCM Computer Training offers one-to-one training sessions. We understand how stressful and humiliating it can feel, having to ask for help in a classroom environment. With one-to-one tuition you get the opportunity to learn at your own pace, repeat something as often as you like and ask as many questions as you wish. As no one else is watching, there is no need to feel stressed or humiliated. This will allow you to enjoy your learning experience.
One-to-One Private Computer Lessons
Lessons will be held one-to-one, in your own home and on your own computer. This will ensure that you feel comfortable and learn on the computer that you will be using. The length of each lesson will depend on you and usually lessons range from 1 hour to 3 hours.
After an initial meeting with you, we will design your lesson(s). These will be tailored to your personal needs and/or requirements and paced to your ability. All sessions are acompanied by easy-to-understand handouts. This will enable you to practice all you have learned in your own time. The handouts are suitable to be kept for future reference. All lessons will be arranged at a time to suit you.
Recognised Qualifications we can help you achieve
We can design & deliver qualification specific computer training, using Microsoft Office. Testing can be arranged at a local Adult Education Centre. We can also help you with an ongoing course by providing additional tuition. Qualifications that we can help you with are ECDL, CLAIT and ITQ at levels 1 to 3.
